Why Redline?

A PDF redline is a quick and easy way to compare all of the changes between the current, active standard and the previous version.

With a redline you'll immediately see:

Save Time and Trouble!

With a Redline you no longer have to spend time trying to determine what has changed in the new standard! Redlines save you time and ensure you see what the changes are to the standard.

Price

When you select the "Active + Redline" option you get both documents! Best of all, the cost of an Active + Redline is only slightly more than buying the Active Standard by itself.

Section VIII - Division 3 provides rules that constitute requirements for the design, construction, inspection, and overpressure protection of metallic pressure vessels with design pressures generally above 10 ksi (70 MPa). However, it is not the intent of this Division to establish maximum pressure limits for either Section VIII, Division 1 or 2, nor minimum pressure limits for this Division. Specific pressure limitations for vessels constructed to the rules of this Division may be imposed elsewhere in this Division for various types of fabrication. Whenever Construction appears in this document, it may be considered an all-inclusive term comprising materials, design, fabrication, examination, inspection, testing, certification, and pressure relief.Pressure vessels within the scope of this Division are pressure containers for the retainment of fluids, gaseous or liquid, under pressure, either internal or external. This pressure may be generated by an external source, the application of heat from a direct or indirect source, a process reaction, or any combination thereof.Careful application of this Section will help users to comply with applicable regulations within their jurisdictions, while achieving the operational, cost and safety benefits to be gained from the many industry best-practices detailed within these volumes.
