Stress Intensification Factor, K-Factor, and Sustained Stress Index Development--Phase II
STANDARD published on 2023
Why Redline?
A PDF redline is a quick and easy way to compare all of the changes between the current, active standard and the previous version.
With a redline you'll immediately see:
Save Time and Trouble!
With a Redline you no longer have to spend time trying to determine what has changed in the new standard! Redlines save you time and ensure you see what the changes are to the standard.
Price
When you select the "Active + Redline" option you get both documents! Best of all, the cost of an Active + Redline is only slightly more than buying the Active Standard by itself.

This report represents Phase II of work undertaken to investigate the deficiencies in the existing test data sets identified during the data collection effort from STP-PT-073. Since not all piping components are well defined geometrically or dimensionally in ASME standard documents, verification by test is considered essential to verify the predicted values and the method of analysis considered. This document contains the burst test results for 12 straight pipe samples, including carbon steel and stainless steel, with and without longitudinal weld seams. This physical testing for SIFs, k-Factors, and SSIs to confirm differences between the Markl and Hinnant curves in the low cycle ranges and finite element predictions of fatigue, stiffness, collapse and burst was done in support of ASME B31J and B31H standards.
