Norma popisuje postup pro určení soustřednosti osy otvoru neúhlové ferule a osy ferule, v případě neúhlové ferule s nainstalovaným vláknem pak postup pro určení soustřednosti osy jádra vlákna a osy ferule. Norma popisuje dvě metody (metodu A a B). Metoda A je referenční zkušební metoda pro povrch ferule a metoda B je referenční metoda pro střed jádra vlákna ferule s instalovaným vláknem
