This IRS defines the following conditions to be observed for the operation of passenger trains consisting of locomotives and vehicles of the types listed in point 2: - maximum train composition limit expressed in number of vehicles, axles, hauled tonnage and trainset length; - calculation of the weight of trains (tare + inclusive weight specified in the IRS); - calculation of the minimum braked weight percentage. It sets out recommendations for braking in winter conditions.
