The International Union of Railways (UIC) develops and distributes International Railway Solutions (IRSs) in order to help railway stakeholders, achieve further harmonisation and collaboration.
This IRS sets out the requirements for the interchangeability of label-holders and hazard identification panels to be fitted to wagons admitted to international service.
It is addressed to Railway Undertakings, Rolling Stock Manufacturers, EUAR, National Safety Authorities and Notified Bodies (UIC leaflet 575 which has been migrated to the IRS without changes is referenced in the TSI-WAG - see Appendix UIC-1).
