Er gilt für HÄMODIALYSEGERÄTE, die für einen Gebrauch entweder durch medizinisches Personal oder unter medizinischer Aufsicht vorgesehen sind, einschließlich HÄMODIALYSEGERÄTEN, die vom ATIENTEN bedient werden, unabhängig davon, ob das HÄMODIALYSEGERÄT im Krankenhaus oder in häuslicher Umgebung eingesetzt wird.
