Diese ÖNORM gilt für Sessel und Tische für den allgemeinen Unterricht in Schulen (zB Volkschule, AHS, Berufsschule, HTL). Sie gilt auch für Sessel und Tische, welche mit Laptop-Computern oder ähnlichen tragbaren Einrichtungen benützt werden können, jedoch nicht für Spezialarbeitsplätze wie zB in Laboratorien, EDV-Arbeitsräumen.
