Die Prüfung nach dieser ÖNORM dient zur Bestimmung der Wasserdampfdurchlässigkeit von Leder und stellt eine Alternativmethode zu ÖNORM EN ISO 14268 dar. Das Prüfverfahren ist für alle Lederarten mit einer Wasserdampfdurchlässigkeit (WDD) von 0,3 mg/(cm2 . h) < WDD < 20 mg/(cm2 . h) anwendbar.
