Diese Norm legt ein Verfahren zur Messung der Infrarotabsorption nach Aufschmelzen unter Inertgas zur Bestimmung des Sauerstoffgehaltes von Eisenwerkstoffen fest. Das Verfahren ist bei Sauerstoffanteilen zwischen 0,0003 % (m/m) und 0,01 % (m/m) anwendbar.
