Dieser Teil von EN 1365 legt ein Verfahren fest zur Bestimmung der Feuerwiderstandsfähigkeit von Treppen mit oder ohne brandschutztechnische Ausrüstung und mit oder ohne Hohlräume. Diese Norm ist zusammen mit ÖNORM EN 1363-1 anwendbar. Treppen, die Teil einer Deckenkonstruktion sind, werden zusammen mit der Deckenkonstruktion nach ÖNORM EN 1365-2 geprüft, wobei der Raumabschluss und die Wärmedämmung beurteilt werden.
