Diese Norm legt Prüfverfahren zur Bestimmung der Eigenschaften von "Bindepech für Kohlenstoffprodukte" für industrielle Zwecke fest. Abhängig von der geforderten Anwendung und den gewünschten Eigenschaften des Endproduktes sind unterschiedliche Klassen von "Bindepech für Kohlenstoffprodukte" erhältlich. (Bindepech für Kohlenstoffprodukte kann auch als Bindemittel für Feuerfestprodukte verwendet werden.)
