Festgelegt ist ein Prüfverfahren für die Bestimmung, ob ein fettiger Kontakt besteht, und dies ist auf alle Lebensmittel anwendbar. Die Prüfung einiger Lebensmittel kann Änderungen des Verfahrens erforderlich machen. Das Verfahren ist für Kontaktsituationen bei Temperaturen von -20 °C bis +100 °C anwendbar.
