Diese Europäische Norm legt ein Verfahren zur Bestimmung der Hydroxylzahl von aliphatischen und zyklischen Hydroxylverbindungen fest, deren Hydroxylgruppen an primäre und sekundäre Kohlenstoffatome gebunden sind. Diese Europäische Norm gilt für Polyacetale, temperaturempfindliche Substanzen, hochpolymere Polyole, feste Polyole und Phenole; sie ist nicht zur Bestimmung von an tertiäre Kohlenstoffatome gebundenen Hydroxylgruppen geeignet.
