Diese Europäische Norm legt ein Verfahren zur Bestimmung des aktuellen Grades der potenziellen mikrobiellen Selbsterhitzung von festen Sekundärbrennstoffen fest. Das Verfahren schätzt indirekt das potenzielle Risiko einer mikrobiellen Selbsterhitzung ab. Der aktuelle Grad des biologischen Abbaus kann in Milligramm Sauerstoff je Kilogramm Trockensubstanz und Stunde angegeben werden.
