Diese Europäische Norm legt ein isotopenanalytisches Verfahren zur Überwachung der Authentizität von Weinessig fest. Dieses Verfahren ist anwendbar auf Weinessig, um das Verhältnis 18 Sauerstoff/16 Sauerstoff von Wasser zu charakterisieren und um Weinessig von Essig aus Rosinen oder von Branntweinessig zu unterscheiden.
