Der allgemeine Anwendungsbereich der grundlegenden Produktkategorieregeln (PCR) ist in EN 15804:2012+A2:2019, Abschnitt 1, angegeben. Diese PCR dient in erster Linie der Erstellung von "von der Wiege bis zum Werkstor"-EPDs für Zement und Baukalk. Ansonsten entspricht der Anwendungsbereich dem von EN 15804:2012+A2:2019.
