Diese Europäische Norm legt die Eigenschaften von Schutzkappen für feste Steckverbinder in der Familie der elektrischen Rundsteckverbinder mit dreigängiger Gewinde-Schnellkupplung fest. Sie gilt für die in Tabelle 2 angegebenen Bauformen. Für feste Steckverbinder siehe EN 3645-003, EN 3645-004, EN 3645-005, EN 3645-009 und EN 3645-010. Diese Steckverbinder wurden von den Bauformen W, F, K und Z in MIL-DTL-38999/33 abgeleitet und sind mit diesen austauschbar.
