Dieser Teil der Europäischen Norm EN 40 legt Anforderungen für Lichtmaste aus Aluminium fest. Er umfaßt auch Baustoffe und Prüfverfahren. Er gilt für gerade Maste für Aufsatzleuchten bis zu einer Höhe von 20 m sowie für Auslegermaste für Ansatzleuchten mit einer Höhe bis zu 18 m.
