Diese Europäische Norm legt die Sortierung von Europäischen Pappeln nach dem Aussehen fest. Sie gilt für trockenes und frisches Schnittholz mit einer Dicke zwischen 18 mm und 34 mm und einer Breite zwischen 100 mm und 250 mm, gemessen im frischen Zustand. Diese Norm gilt nicht für die Festigkeitssortierung von Bauholz.
