Festgelegt sind die Maße und mechanischen Eigenschaften sowie Anwendungsdaten für offene Blindniete mit Sollbruchdorn und Flachkopf, mit einer Niethülse aus Nickel-Kupfer-Legierung (NiCu) und einem Nietdorn aus Stahl (St) oder aus nichtrostendem Stahl (SSt). Die Festlegungen gelten für den Nenndurchmesserbereich von 3,2 mm bis 6,4 mm.
