Diese Internationale Norm legt, unter Verwendung von Bauwerkinformationsmodellierung (BIM), Anforderungen an das Informationsmanagement anhand eines Managementprozesses fest, der im Kontext der Lieferphase von Assets und dem wesentlichen Informationsaustausch in dieser Lieferphase stattfindet. Diese Internationale Norm ist vor allem für die Nutzung durch den folgenden Personenkreis bestimmt: - alle, die an der Verwaltung oder Erstellung von Informationen während der Lieferphase von Assets beteiligt sind; - alle, die an der Definition und Beschaffung von Bauprojekten beteiligt sind; - alle, die an der Spezifikation von Aufträgen und Erleichterung von kollaborativem Arbeiten beteiligt sind; - alle, die an Gestaltung, Konstruktion, Betrieb und Instandhaltung von Assets beteiligt sind; - alle, die für die Wertschöpfung für ihre Organisation aus dem Asset-Bestand verantwortlich sind.
