Diese Internationale Norm legt einen Farbcode zur Identifizierung von medizinischen Einmalkanülen mit einer metrischen Nenngröße im Bereich von 0,18 mm (34 Gauge) bis 3,4 mm (10 Gauge) fest. Sie gilt für normaldünn-, dünn-, extradünn- und ultradünnwandige Kanülen sowie für deckende oder transparente Farben. Diese Internationale Norm ist nicht auf Pen-Kanülen anwendbar.
