Dieses Dokument legt ein Verfahren mit Infrarotabsorption nach Verbrennung im Induktionsofen zur Bestimmung des Gesamtkohlenstoffgehalts in Stahl und Eisen fest. Das Verfahren ist auf Kohlenstoffgehalte zwischen 0,003 % (Massenanteil) und 4,5 % (Massenanteil) anwendbar.
