Um die Arbeit auf der Baustelle zu erleichtern, wurden in diesem Normen-Handbuch die Inhalte folgender Normen zu einem durchgängig lesbaren Text zusammengeführt: DIN EN 1536:2010-12 "Ausführungen von Arbeiten im Spezialtiefbau - Bohrpfähle" und DIN SPEC 18140:2012-02 "Ergänzende Festlegungen zu DIN EN 1536:2010-12". Die DIN SPEC kann nur in Verbindung mit der DIN EN 1536 angewendet werden, da hier auf Regeln in weiterhin gültigen nationalen Normen (die nicht vollständig durch europäische Normen ersetzt wurden und weiterhin einschlägige Regelungen beinhalten) verwiesen wird. Die insgesamt vier Bände zum Spezialtiefbau können auch als kostengünstige Gesamtausgabe erworben werden (ISBN 978-3-410-23010-6).
