Unter den Dauerhaftigkeitsaspekten der Stahlbetonbauweise nimmt die Gefahr der Bewehrungskorrosion eine besondere Bedeutung ein. Die Auswirkungen auf das Verbundverhalten sind ein Teilaspekt - wenngleich ein wesentlicher, da die strukturelle Integrität des Stahlbetons durch den Verbund zwischen Stahl und Beton bestimmt wird. Die Bewertung der dadurch hervorgerufenen Schäden ist bisher normativ nicht geregelt. Auf Basis experimenteller und numerischer Untersuchungen wurde ein Ingenieurmodell zur Beschreibung der Verbundfestigkeitsabnahme unter dem Einfluss von Bewehrungskorrosion erarbeitet.
