Die 2. Auflage 2020 des Heftes 600 enthält aktualisierte Erläuterungen zum Normentext von DIN EN 1992 1 1 mit Nationalem Anhang DIN EN 1992 1 1/NA sowie ergänzende und alternative Anwendungsregeln. Wie bei den Vorgängerheften sollen die Ausführungen in Heft 600 der Praxis das Verständnis und den Gebrauch der Norm durch Erläuterungen und Darlegung der wissenschaftlichen Grundlagen erleichtern. Die A1-Änderungen von EN 1992-1-1 und von DIN EN 1992-1-1/NA aus dem Jahr 2015 sowie die Normauslegungen bis Juni 2019 wurden berücksichtigt. Erkenntnisse aus der laufenden Überarbeitung des Eurocodes 2 sind teilweise schon mit eingeflossen. Die vorgenannten Erläuterungen bilden den neuen Teil 1 des Heftes 600. In einem später vorgesehenen Teil 2 des Heftes 600 werden die brückenspezifischen Erläuterungen zum Normentext von DIN EN 1992 2 mit Nationalem Anhang DIN EN 1992 2/NA enthalten sein.
