Annotation of standard text API MPMS CHAPTER 14.6(R2012) :

Provides criteria and procedures for designing, installing, and operating continous density measurement systems for Newtonian fludis in the petroleum, chemical, and natural gas industries. The application of this standard is limited to clean, homogeneous, single-phase liquids or supercritical fluids. The procedures and criteria in this standard have been successfully applied to fluids whose flowing density is greater than 0.3 grams per cubic centimeter at operating conditions of 60 degress F (15.6 degrees C) and saturation pressure. The intent of the standard is to provide the user with a density accuracy of 0.10 % for most applications. The errata provides editorial clarification regarding conversion factors and variables used in various calculation equations. Includes Errata, 8/98 See more

Reaffirmed: 2012
