1.1 This specification defines the geometries of several separately-cast and integrally-cast test coupons for use as specified in the applicable casting product or common requirements standard. This standard does not address procedures for molding, casting, heat treating, machining, or testing; these items are addressed as needed and appropriate by the applicable product or common requirements standard. 1.2 Units—The values stated in
either SI units or inch-pound units are to be regarded separately
as standard. The values stated in each system may not be exact
equivalents; therefore, each system shall be used independently of
the other. Combining values from the two systems may result in
non-conformance with the standard.
