1.1 This specification covers seamless
round and rectangular including square copper alloy tube in
straight lengths. Ten alloys are specified having the following
nominal compositions:
A Alloy Designations of Specification B 135 – 63, which was published in the 1966 Book of ASTM Standards, Part 5. 1.2 This specification is the inch-pound companion to Specification B 135M; therefore, no SI equivalents are presented in the specification. 1.3 Warning—Mercury has been designated by EPA and many state agencies as a hazardous material that can cause central nervous system, kidney, and liver damage. Mercury, or its vapor, may be hazardous to health and corrosive to materials. Caution should be taken when handling mercury and mercury-containing products.
