1. Scope

1.1This specification covers bare round copper-clad steel wire for electronic application.

1.2Four classes of copper-clad steel wire are covered as follows:

1.2.1Class 30HSNominal 30 % conductivity high-strength hard-drawn,

1.2.2Class 30HS-ANominal 30 % conductivity high-strength annealed,

1.2.3Class 40HSNominal 40 % conductivity high-strength hard-drawn, and

1.2.4Class 40HS-ANominal 40 % conductivity high-strength annealed.

1.3The values stated in inch-pound units are to be regarded as the standard. The values given in parentheses are in SI units.

1.4This international standard was developed in accordance with internationally recognized principles on standardization established in the Decision on Principles for the Development of International Standards, Guides and Recommendations issued by the World Trade Organization Technical Barriers to Trade (TBT) Committee.
