1.1?This specification1.2?This specification covers pipe in Schedules 5S, 10S, 40S, and 80S through 8-in. nominal pipe size and larger as set forth in ANSI B36.19 (see Table 2).

1.3?Two classes of pipe are covered as follows:

1.4?All pipe shall be furnished in the solution annealed and descaled condition. When atmosphere control is used, descaling is not necessary.

1.5?The values stated in either SI units or inch-pound units are to be regarded separately as standard. The values stated in each system are not necessarily exact equivalents; therefore, to ensure conformance with the standard, each system shall be used independently of the other, and values from the two systems shall not be combined.
