1.1 This test method defines procedures for hydrostatically testing vitrified clay pipe lines, to demonstrate the structural integrity of the installed line. Refer to Practice C 12. 1.2 This test method is suitable for testing gravity-flow pipe lines constructed of vitrified clay pipe or combinations of clay pipe and other pipe materials. 1.3 This test method is applicable to the testing of the pipe lines only. Manholes or other structures should be tested separately. 1.4 The values stated in inch-pound units are to be regarded as the standard. The values given in parentheses are provided for information only. 1.5 This standard does not purport to address all of the safety problems, if any, associated with its use. It is the responsibility of the user of this standard to establish appropriate safety and health practices and determine the applicability of regulatory limitations prior to use. |
