1.1 This test method provides a procedure for indicating the degree to which a fine aggregate may be subject to degradation due to the mixing and agitation of portland cement concrete. 1.2 Units of Measurement -With regard to sieve sizes and size of aggregate as determined by the use of testing sieves, the values in inch-pound units are shown for the convenience of the user, but the standard sieve designation shown in parentheses is the standard value as stated in Specification E11. 1.3 This standard may involve hazardous materials, operations, and equipment.
