1.1 This practice covers the repair of spray-applied polyurethane insulation on vessels normally operating at temperatures between -30 and + 107oC (-22 and + 225oF). 1.2 Caution-At temperatures below 0oC (32oF) the application of a spray "foam" directly onto the cold substrate may not be possible. The term "foam" applies to spray-applied polyurethane or polyisocyanurate (PUR or PIR) rigid cellular plastic only, and not to any other plastic insulation. 1.3 This standard may involve hazardous materials, operations, and equipment. This standard does not purport to address all of the safety concerns associated with its use. It is the responsibility of the user of this standard to establish appropriate safety and health practices and determine the applicability of regulatory limitations prior to use.
