1.1 This test method covers the determination of the ethanol-toluene soluble content of wood, which is a measure of the waxes, fats, resins, and oils, plus tannins and certain other ether-insoluble components. 1.2 This standard does not purport to address all of the safety concerns, if any, associated with its use.
