1.1 This practice describes the procedure for measuring curl in synthetic filament. 1.2 This practice is applicable to filament 2 to 5 in. (50.8 to 127 mm) in length. 1.3 This practice is applicable to tapered filament or level filament. 1.4 The values given in-pound units are to be regarded as the standard as this is the dominant measurement system used in the paint brush industry.
