1. Scope |
1.1 This practice describes the procedure for measuring curl in synthetic filament. 1.2 This practice is applicable to filament 2 to 5 in. (50.8 to 127 mm) in length. 1.3 This practice is applicable to tapered filament or level filament. 1.4 This practice is applicable to loose filling material and material removed from a brush. 1.5 The values stated in inch-pound units are to be regarded as standard. The values given in parentheses are mathematical conversions to SI units that are provided for information only and are not considered standard. 1.6 This standard does not purport to address all of the safety concerns, if any, associated with its use.
