This specification is intended for the destructive ball drop testing of laminated flat glass products used in architectural glazing. It provides a basis for evaluating the impact performance of laminated flat glass when a 2.3 kg, 83 mm diameter smooth solid steel ball is dropped from a specified height. The requirements are applicable to laminated architectural flat glass products that are symmetrical and asymmetrical annealed, heat-strengthened, chemically strengthened, and fully tempered.
