1.1 These test methods cover procedures to be followed for qualifying papers to be used in the manufacture of vacuum cleaner bags and filters. 1.2 The procedures appear in the following sections: Procedure Sections Air Permeability (D 737) 3 to 5 Basis Weight (D 646) 6 to 8 Bursting Strength (Mullen Test) (D 774) 9 to 11 Internal Tearing Resistance (D 689) 12 to 14 Tensile Breaking Strength (D 828) 15 to 171.3 The values stated in inch-pound units are to be regarded as the standard. 1.4 This standard does not purport to address all of the safety concerns, if any, associated with its use.
