Tento 3. díl normy stanoví názvy, definice a označení základních geometrických a kinematických pojmů pro kuželová ozubená kola, soukolí a převody se stálým převodovým poměrem. Pro některé názvy jsou v normě uvedeny i jejich zkrácené tvary . Díl 3. ČSN 01 4602 musí být používán s 1. dílem této normy. Je normalizováno cca 180 hesel česky a slovensky. Některé pojmy mají vedle definice i nákres.3. díl ČSN 01 4602 byl schválen 7.12.1987 a nabyl účinnosti od 1.5.1989. Nahradila částečně ČSN 01 4602 z 18.7.1960
