Tímto 2. dílem normy se zavádí ST SEV 644-77 jako ČSN, jíž se pro potřeby tehdejší ČSSR (ČSFR), resp. ČR norma RVHP nedoplňovala. Norma RVHP stanoví názvy, definice a označení hlavních druhů funkčních a geometrických odchylek čelních a hřebenových převodů. Obsahuje české a slovenské názvy cca 80 hesel, jejich definice a v řadě případů i nákresy. Jsou současně uvedeny (normalizovány) ekvivalentní pojmy v angličtině a francouzštině a ve všech jazycích členských států RVHP. ČSN 01 4603, 2. díl, byla schválena 29.1.1980 a nabyla účinnosti od 1.1.1982
