Touto normou se zavádí ST SEV 4359-83 jako ČSN, jíž se pro potřeby tehdejší ČSSR (ČSFR), resp. ČR norma RVHP doplňovala o pět článků, které zpřesňují některé požadavky normy RVHP, nestanovují však nové požadavky bezpečnosti práce, spíše jen přibližují požadavky normy RVHP zvyklostem v ČSSR (ČSFR), resp. ČR. Norma RVHP platí pro parní kotle s pracovním přetlakem nad 0,07 MPa a pro horkovodní kotle s teplotou vody nad 115°C a stanovuje požadavky bezpečnostní techniky na manometry na nich používané. Jde o poměrně stručnou normu (9 článků), jimiž se stanovují v podstatě jen obecné (bezpečnostní) požadavky na manometry. ČSN 07 0270 byla schválena 28.3.1985 a nabyla účinnosti od 1.1.1986. Nahradila čl. 92 a 93 ČSN 07 620 z 1.3.1977
