Touto normou se zavádí ST SEV 580-77 včetně doplňků a dalších změn, schválených na 53. a 63. zasedání SKSN RVHP jako ČSN, jíž se pro potřeby tehdejší ČSSR (ČSFR), resp. ČR norma RVHP nedoplňovala. schválených na 53. a 63. zasedání SKN RVHP, jako ČSN, jíž se pro potřeby ČSSR norma RVHP nedoplňuje. Norma RVHP se musí používat společně s ST SEV 538-77 /ČSN 20 0700/ a ST SEV 539-86 /ČSN 33 2200/. Norma RVHP /6 článků/ obsahuje jen doplňkové požadavky k oběma základním standardům. ČSN 20 0724 byla schválena 29.2.1988 a nabyla účinnosti od 1.1.1989. Nahradila ČSN 20 0724 z 13.8.1980. Poznámka: Všechny normy, souvisící s kmenovou ČSN 20 0700, tj. ČSN 20 0701 až ČSN 20 0705 a ČSN 20 0708 až ČSN 20 0725 jsou spolu s touto kmenovou normou v svazku, označeného "ČSN 20 0700 sada"
