Norma platí pro konstrukci, výrobu a zkoušení plastových přepravek bez mřížky i s mřížkou. Jsou určeny pro ložení, přepravu a skladování zboží při ruční i mechanizované manipulaci jako vratný přepravní prostředek. Jsou určeny ke stohování. Při stohování přepravek musí být dodrženy požadavky stability stohu, stohovací nosnosti a přepravy. V normalizovaných jak technických požadavcích, tak ve zkušebních metodách, nejsou uvedeny parametry, které by měly přímý bezpečnostní (nebo hygienický) význam, i když ve svých důsledcích zajišťují zejména bezpečné skladování (stohování). ČSN 26 9301 byla schválena 6.5.1991 a nabyla účinnosti od 1.5.1992. Nahradila ČSN 26 9301 z 10.3.1971
