Tato norma určuje požadavky a rozměry stíněných vícežilových kabelů s PVC izolací nebo se zesítěnou polyethylenovou izolací a s PVC nebo polyethylenovým pláštěm. Maximální nepřetržitá provozní teplota jádra nesmí překročit 70 C u kabelů s PVC izolací a 90 C u kabelů s XLPE izolací. Maximální teplota při zkratových podmínkách je 160 C respektive 250 C (max. doba trvání 5 s). Tato norma zahrnuje vícežilové kabely, které mají sedm nebo více žil s měděnými jádry a měděné koncentrické jádro, je-li požadováno.
