Norma navazuje na ČSN 34 1530 a platí pro navrhování, zřizování a údržbu trakčních napájecích stanic báňských elektrických drah závislé vozby. Platí pro trakční měnírny a transformovny v prostorách dolů bez nebezpečí výbuchu třaskavých plynů , i pro tyto objekty nad zemí, jestliže ovšem napájejí trakční vedení pod zemí. Norma obsahuje především technické a výjimečně i bezpečnostně technické požadavky, především pro prevenci úrazu elektrickým proudem. ČSN 37 6785 byla schválena 21.2.1977 a nabyla účinností od 1.1.1978
