Norma platí pro stanovení železa v krupici a prášku metodou A - fotometrickou podle ČSN 42 0671 část 2. V případě, že železo tvoří více než 1 % kovových příměsí, se stanovení provádí fotometrickou metodou podle ČSN 42 0670 část 3, popřípadě i titrační metodou B podle této normy. B - titrační.
