Norma platí pro chemický rozbor cínowolframových rud a koncentrátů a určuje stanovení chromu fotometrickou metodou. Při provádění rozboru musí být dodržena všechna ustanovení podle ČSN 44 1701. Podstata metody: Vzorek se rozloží tavením s peroxidem sodíku, v okyseleném roztoku se oddělí vanad extrakcí s 8-hydroxichinolinem do chloroformu a chrom se stanoví s difenylkarbazidem. Postupy při provádění normalizovaných zkoušek jsou podrobně popsány. ČSN 44 1511 byla schválena 20.7.1990 a nabyla účinnosti od 1.7.1991. Spolu s ČSN 44 1501 až ČSN 44 1510 a ČSN 44 1512 až ČSN 44 1523 nahradila v celém rozsahu ČSN 44 1639 z 8.7.1970
