Norma platí pro určení tříd jakosti karamboly - plodů Averrhoa carambola L., papáji - plodů Carica papaya L., dovážených a dodávaných v čerstvém stavu k přímé spotřebě. Platí i pro plody dodávané ke zpracování. V kapitole 2 norma stanoví pro tyto plody následující základní požadavky: Plody musí být celé, zdravé, zdravotně nezávadné, čisté, čerstvého vzhledu, bez nadměrné povrchové vlhkosti, bez cizího pachu a nebo chuti. Dále jsou normalizovány třídy jakosti pro jednotlivé druhy plodů. Bližší znaky zdravotní nezávadnosti specifikovány nejsou. ČSN 46 3065 byla vydána v listopadu 1995
