Tato norma určuje zkušební metody na stanovení obsahu popela cukrovinkářskéch výrobků a polotovarů a trvanlivého pečiva. Všeobecná ustanovení a příprava zkušebního vzorku jsou uvedena v části 1 ČSN 56 0146. Norma tedy stanovuje metodu zjišťování (ověřování) kvalitativního znaku (jakosti) významného pro hygienu výživy. ČSN 56 0146-6 byla schválena 29.4.1986 a nabyla účinnosti od 1.6.1987. Nahradila čl. 13 ČSN 56 0146 z 22.10.1964
